Astrakhan Scarf

Description

A woven scarf made from 80% Wool and 20% Alpaca. We make the warp, which are the threads that create the fading colour design, from a fine Merino wool, the weft is a loosely twisted Alpaca/Wool Boucle yarn.

Boucle is a looped yarn which gives this scarf the distinctive knobbly effect.

We weave the Astrakhan scarf on our antique Hattersley Domestic looms and knot the tassels by hand.
